Thunderbird-2. This package v1.1 contains a simulation of Thunderbird-2 (with Mole machine), from the TV-series "The Thunderbirds". Includes a VC, many animated parts and other special features like: true VTOL operation and angled launch capability; auto-controlled smoke and sonicboom effects; bay release and mole animation, with sounds; retractable landing lights and rotating exhaust nozzles. - This addon package is for FSX-SP2 or FSX-Accelleration ONLY.
- It requires a working version of Peter Dowson's FSUIPC-for-FSX (registered or unregistered).
- To install:
- Unzip the contents of this package to any folder, using the option "Use folder names".
- From folder "Thunderbird2-for-FSX", copy the folder "1 TB2" and all it's contents into folder ...FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\.
- From folder "Thunderbird2-for-FSX\Effects", copy all .fx files into folder ...FSX\Effects\.
- For a full description, credits, copyrights, disclaimer and all details-of-operation: see the README files in folder ...FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\1 TB2\
- WARNING: DO NOT change the default name ...FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\1 TB2\ !!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    how can i get the thunder bird 2 to fly and lower the landing gear i use my saitek x52 pro and and when i push forward on the handle it moves forward

    While i could not get the drill to work, everything else did. It was everything i expected it to be and more. Was even more pleasantly surprised that the thunderbird jingles played when i opened the cargo bay.

    Great program, it all works perfect, but i cant get the aircraft to take off or land vertically.
